In which she starts to clear up her out box...

Since it looks like this may be one of my last big entries before I head off for New York, (what with me being preoccupied with laundry, packing, last-minute shopping, map plotting, etc.) I'll try to tie-up most of my loose ends all at once. *deep breath* Here goes...

My first main topic of the day is 'OMG you guys, if you haven't already done so, go read the new graphic novel!' Seriously. It made me all laskdjfh for Ando, and how much he wants in Kimiko's pants (and how badly Kaito wants in Ando's). I'm also glad to see them getting back to the current timeline of the show to get us prepped/caught up for Season 2 (don't get me wrong, I loved the origins stories they gave the Haitian, Candice, and Claude; I'm just glad to see that they haven't completely left us hangin' until September). Also, it's cute to see Ando use a Quote of Awesome Geekery (Star Wars FTW) in Hiro's absence.

Also, please tell me I'm not the only sick fuck person who was laughing uncontrollably on Monday night watching George Takei make out with Dave Foley. (Because, the rumor is that he WILL have sex with you. When you least expect it.) Anyone? Bueller?

Dude, prying_pandora, you were so right. Parade is just... *tear* Seriously, I've never cried on my first listening of a show before. It is just that amazing. I was even telling my dad about it, and he was all "LOL, I've heard of that!" O_O And you never recommended it to me because...?

But YAY! Now I have something to add to my playlist for Saturday's flight! Speaking of music...

cazrolime requested the 2005 revival cast recording to Sweeney Todd. If you know what's good for you, you'll go see the movie, (even though I myself am extremely nervous about it, for multiple reasons). (Cast features Michael Cerveris as Sweeney Todd and Patti LuPone as Mrs. Lovett.)

Collapse )

swizzzlesticks requested the OCR to Wicked, even offering up her first born in exchange. So here it is. (Cast features Idina Menzel as Elphaba and Kristin Chenoweth as G(a)linda.)

Collapse )

I will do AT LEAST one last post before I go. aheartfulofyou asked for the OMPST to Jesus Christ Superstar, (once again, offers of babies were made), only at the moment both CDs are in my car and since the time is currently two in the morning, I won't be running down to get them. So, either later today ('bout 8-ish EST) or Thursday the links should be up!

As always, feel free to request anything on The List, located HERE.

Along with JCS, the next entry will include memes that candidlily and hymenchan tagged me with, that I'm just too tired to do at the moment.

In which she puts off procrastination...

As promised oh so long ago, here's some much anticipated music downloads. (See, I told you I'd get to them! *fistpump*)

Also, before I get too deep in the download business, I just want to wish a Happy Berfday to Noah Bennet. Because, y'know, it's cool to treat fictional characters like they're real people. And so man_in_glasses (because I can!), here's hoping you have a wonderful birthday, followed by a year of wildly enthusiastic moral greyness we all can enjoy! With lots of hot, hot, horn-rimmed action on the side upfront and clogging my flist.

Now, on to business!

For cazrolime I have the cast album for the episode of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' titled "Once More, with Feeling". For those of you who aren't into the Buffyverse, well, neither was I. Until this episode. My older sister had me watch it and all of a sudden I joined in with her flailing. (Cast features Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy, James Marsters as Spike, Anthony Head as Giles, and Hinton Battle as Sweet.)

Collapse )

cazrolime also asked for Stravinksy's 'Rite of Spring', and along with it I'm including the Suite from 'The Firebird' (1919 version), because it's awesomesauce and she's never heard it. (Shock! Horror!) (Conducted by Leonard Bernstein *flail* and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra *more flailing* and the New York Philharmonic.) Along with that, and just for shits and giggles, I'm including the version of 'Firebird' that the Cavaliers did for their 1997 show. (Because DCI > the world.) (Performed by (from Rosemont, Illinois (\o/!)) THE CAVALIERS!)

Collapse )

Collapse )

Once again, cazrolime requested the soundtrack to probably the biggest movie of 1994, Disney's The Lion King. (Cast features Jeremy Irons as Scar and Nathan Lane as Timon.)

Collapse )

cazrolime (YET AGAIN) requested the 2005 Revival Cast Recording of Sweeney Todd, which will have toi wait until my next music post. (Nelson: HA-ha!) As always, feel free to request anything on my music post, located HERE, (continually updated).

In which she brings MOAR...

Just more downloads for my flist, (to hopefully keep you occupied while I work on the mix for the TRIP OF EPIX TAKING PLACE IN A MERE 26 DAYS ASLDKJFHSADFJALSKJDF). I'll post a real entry once I actually have something post-worthy.

MUSIC REQUESTS - ROUND 3

In addition to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in the last entry, thespiansparkle also asked for The Last Five Years, so I'm continuing the NLB/SRS love, (I seriously need RPF for these two). (Cast features IS Norbert Leo Butz as Jamie and Sherie Rene Scott as Cathy.)

Collapse )

Again, thespiansparkle also asked for the Walt Disney World Official Album (2006 Edition). Here it is. (Disk 1 is mainly Magic Kingdom themed, with a few EPCOT tracks. Disk 2 finishes out EPCOT, and also includes Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom.)

In which she brings more for your listening pleasure...

What's this? More music sharing, you say! I believe it is!

First things first! chrryblssmninja wanted the three songs from the Yule Ball scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If anyone else would like the rest of the album, just drop a comment and lemme know. (Songs by Franz Ferdinand, performing as The Weird Sisters.)

Collapse )

She also requested 'Gollum's Song' from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers OMPS. (Song performed by Emiliana Torrini.)

Gollum's Song

Also, senor_coconut_1 requested 'Little Light of Love' from the soundtrack to The Fifth Element. Below the cut are both versions. (Song performed by RXRA.)

Both thespiansparkle and greatwhitesnark asked for the original cast recording to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. (Cast features John Lithgow as Lawrence, Norbert Leo Butz as Freddy, and Sherie Rene Scott as Christine.)

In which she has no love for blackouts...

After trying for what seems like ages to get my music software fixed, I finally got it working enough to let me upload music to my hard drive. So I figured now was a good time to get with the sharing of certain CDs people on my flist have asked for. As always, all tracks are shareable, but if you want 'em you'd better be grabbing 'em now, since sendspace only hosts for a limited time, and I probably won't feel like re-uploading them right away. Anyhoo...

For little_nimue, I have the Workshop Demo recording of the upcoming Broadway adaptation of Disney's The Little Mermaid. (Workshop cast features Kerry Butler as Ariel, and Emily Skinner as Ursula &hearts&hearts♥.)

Collapse )

For jadeblood, I have the soundtrack to the 1987 animated movie The Chipmunk Adventure. I don't have all the track titles for this one, and I believe the original album order is off, but the mere fact that I actually have this album is enough to make me happy. (Again, huge thanks to slantedsunlight for burning it for me! *squish*) (Features Ross Bagdasarian Jr. as Dave, Alvin, and Simon, and Janice Karman as Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor.)

Collapse )

On a side note, I know chrryblssmninja had requested a song from the soundtrack to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I was just wondering if you were interested in the whole CD, or just the songs from the Yule Ball scene?

Also, for any of those who wish, I'm offering up my ENTIRE CD COLLECTION. Collapse )

And in the mean time, some YTMNDs, to keep your brain occupied in the wake of Deathly Hallows. Many are HP-related, so if you don't want to be spoiled for movie!verse OotP or canon!verse DH, I suggest you avoid. If HP isn't you're cup of meat, you can still find these enjoyable, as most of them poke fun at the whole deal.

Voldemort Finally Lives His Dream - In some crazy mixed up universe, I guess someone would claim that this has spoilers for the OotP movie. In reality, you'll just never be able to listen to Katchaturian with a straight face again. Not that you could before, but, y'know...
Harry Potter knocked up Nancy Drew - ROFL, now that's a crossover fic I'd actually like to see!
Gandalf ruins Harry Potter - *dies laughing*
Spock Gets Spoiled Again - BOOK 7 SPOILER. And lots of maniacle laughing. (Maybe it's just my brainz, but I swear if you close your eyes and picture it really hard it sounds like ZQ screaming...)
Harry Potter = Prison Rape? - One of the most amusing uses of the Gay Fuel song, IMO.
And lastly, because the_sc_files!!) and also CORN are love, I present to you, well, a cornucopia of love.

The YTMND that started it all. (Corn/Ham > AS/S)
PERFECTION.
Get Your Free Corn.
Bill Murray loves corn.
Corn Wars Duel. (I swear to God, this never gets old.)
Corn is no place for a Mighty Warrior.
A corn fantasy, (roflcopter).
(Especially for jazalove:) Chuck Norris pwns corn.
Okay, that thing I said about Corn/Ham being greater than AS/S? Well, it appears Lex/Corn > Corn/Ham.

[EDIT: AND OMG INSERT MAJOR SQUEE-AGE HERE. THIS COVERS BOTH THE HEROES S2 PROMOS (HOMG YAAAAAY! *excited*) AND THE more or less CONFIRMATION THAT ZQ WILL BE PLAYING SPOCK IN JJ ABRAMS' STAR TREK MOVIE. *SQUEEEEEEEEE*]

[EDIT2: AND OMG INSERT MOAR SQUEE-AGE HERE BECAUSE PART FOUR OF the_sc_files IS LOOOOOOOOOVE!!]

[EDIT3: HOOOOMG A MONTH FROM TODAY!!!!!! *DIES*]

In which she takes a sad song and makes it better...

Need I express how much I cannot wait for Across the Universe (Official site here; IMDB page here) to come out? I mean, musical *check*, all Beatles songs *HOMGCHECK*, and directed by alksdjhflaskjdfhaslkdjfh Julie Taymor *biiiiiig effing check*.

I think that now would be a good time for all of us to fangirl over how much Jim Sturgess' singing voice sounds like Ewan McGregor's. y/y?

Also, if any of you can find me the second trailer (featuring a ton of clips from the bowling alley scene and set to the song 'Seen a Face'), please please please link me. And let me know how/when you would like your children from the headline making affair we will have afterwards.

* * * * *

ONLY 42(!!!!) DAYS! *KEYSMASH*

* * * * *

And w00t! People are actually posting over at noaire! And we've been linked over at ninth_wonders (ROFL, along with the_sc_files (and my 64 Noaire icons). :B).

One more thing before I forget:
HAAAAPPY BERFDAY vespalicious!!1one1

In which she thinks goofery is required...

First off, Greg Grunberg is officially the embodiment of all that is dorky. Just thought I should put that out there.

And also, Vote Petrelli

In Semi SPOILery news, it appears Ellen Greene will play Sylar's mother. If my theory proves correct, this will be a musical episode, featuring such show-stopping tunes as 'Suddenly Sylar', 'Somewhere thats Brains', and, of course, 'Feed Me'.
text* = DON'T TASE ME BRO!

In which she, being Polish, must also be a little bit Jewish...

Just for the record, Avenue Q + Fiddler on the Roof = B-way OTP.

So many great one-liners it's amazing.

[EDIT: For those who care, I've created an LJ-feed of the unofficial Little Mermaid - Broadway blog, located at broadwaymermaid. The girl who runs it is pretty good at getting the news before most other people do, and this way it's easier to get than trying to remember to check back at the original URL.]

In which she is having a blast!... (though intending no puns)

So even though I really need to go over to my dad's house to do laundry, because I have no clean clothes, I find myself sitting on my ass combing through YouTube looking for DCI footage. And on the way, lo and behold, I find blast! clips.

Now in the past I know I've raved about this show, and while some of you know what I'm talking about, no doubt others are still completely clueless as to how totally badass this shit is. So, in order to remedy this, I present (more or less), the entire fucking show. (Keep in mind that videos don't exactly do justice to the show, but hey, it's better than nothing.) Enjoy.

[EDIT: Unfortunately, watching all this has made me infinitely depressed over the fact that I haven't marched (much less played a decent instrument) in nearly five years. So now on top of feelings of nostalgia, I'm trying to figure out ways to convince my bosses to let me have two days off, every other weekend so that I can join Heat Wave. I know it'll never come to fruition, but I'll end up making myself sick over it anyway.]

If by any chance you dweebs would like a copy of the entire album, just comment and it'll be up.

[EDIT: Had to Cut this entry for my own sanity, since it kept freezing my screen each time I tried to view my journal.]

In which she just wants to die...

It's hard for me to say this, coming from over 20 years of Burton loving, but seriously, with the exception of Rickman, WORST. CAST. EVAR.

A few notes:
1., Can Rickman even sing?
2., Helena Bonham Carter needs to die. I admit, I liked her in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, but that was it. First she ruins Burton for me, then Arthurian legend, after which she took a gun to the head of Planet of the Apes (I don't blame Burton for that; he was brain-washed), took an otherwise decent piece of Ewan McGregor drool-fodder and crapped all over it, made me hate Whoever-the-fuck-it-is-this-time and the Chocolate Factory, made Wallace & Gromit a whore of a kids movie, is probably gonna completely make it so that I can never so much as think of Harry Potter again, and now is not only gonna kill one of my favorite musicals ever, but in doing so kill one of my favorite characters? I hate the fuckin' ho.
3., Fuckin' Borat as Pirelli? You gotta be shittin' me.
4., Don't get me wrong, I like Johnny D. But he is not Sweeney. Not at all.
5., "I'm a casting director, look at me! Here's another movie for Timothy Spall to take a dump all over! Wee!"
6., Again, I do like Anthony Head. But I can't picture him as anything other than Turpin or the Beadle.
